Offset Printing

What is Offset Printing?

Offset printing is a commonly used printing technique in which the inked image is transferred from a plate to a rubber blanket, then to the printing surface. Offset is great for medium to long runs.

Our Presses

Our large press is a 6 color Heidelberg Speedmaster 74. Our house sheet sizes for this press are 17.5" x 23", 19" x 25", 20" x 26", and 20" x 28." It is equipped with a perfecter, which allows us to print up to 4 colors on the front, and up to 2 colors on the back in one pass.

This press typically runs between 10,000 and 11,000 sheets per hour. It is capable of running four-color-process as well as spot colors.

It is also equipped with an aqueous coating unit, which can apply gloss or matte coating to the front of the sheet. This serves two purposes: to enhance the color of the product, and also to seal the ink into the sheet, preventing offsetting and smearing.

We also have a 2 color Ryobi 582 H for smaller runs.

Spot Colors

While most of our work is four-color-process, we also do quite a bit of work with spot colors. If you need a specific spot color, we are fully equipped to mix your pms color on site.
